io9 Debuts Exclusive "Ender's Game" Set Panoramas!

So, this is just a crazy day for Ender's Game news! io9 just exclusively released two incredible 360° tours of sets from the film: the Dragon Army barracks and Colonel Graff's command center. Take a look over at the source!

Hint: You can use the buttons or click and drag to view the panoramas on the site and use your mouse wheel (if you have one) to zoom in and out! The images below are JUST images.

What do you think Graff is reading?

Gryffin, Rat, Asp and Leopard Army are up to something here!

Dragon Army Barracks

These are seriously cool, especially since we've only seen a glimpse of Graff's office in the trailer! Make sure to check them out!

Free "Ender's Game" Panel in London With Cast/Crew Guests!

Heads up, UK Launchies! Bleeding Cool is reporting that a week from today on October 7th, there will be an Ender's Game panel between 6:30pm and 8:00pm with cast and crew members -- and it's absolutely free to attend!

From the site:

The panel will take place in the West End of London – in one of the bigger cinemas in Leicester Square would be my guess – and a number of stars will be in attendance.

According to the press release the following guests will be there:

Harrison Ford, Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld, Ben Kingsley, Gavin Hood, Bob Orci and Gigi Pritzker.

There will also be props from the film and "never before seen footage" shown.

Yikes!

To claim your ticket, keep an eye on the official website for London Comic-Con around 6 p.m. GMT tomorrow -- though Bleeding Cool suggests that you get there a bit early and hit refresh for a while; this is something that may "sell out" very quickly!

Good luck, Launchies.

Spotted: "Ender's Game" Popcorn Bag

This was a fun surprise to wake up to on a Monday morning!

Ender's Game actor Ty Parker (seen in the trailer in Dragon Army and the baseball scene) tagged Ender News on Instagram last night to let us know that he ran across this at his local cinema:

Popcorn Bag!

I don't know about you guys, but seeing an Ender's Game popcorn bag makes this all suddenly feel very real. He also mentioned that he believes the ICEE cups were available, and my offer still stands for the first two people sending me a picture of themselves enjoying Battleschool Blastberry or Orbital Orange!

Remember: they're meant to be fully implemented by October 1st, so your chances of finding one goes up drastically tomorrow - good luck!

You probably won't need if if you're eligible and living in France, but Ender News reader Claire was kind enough to send us a translation -- and make us super jealous!

Battle School Challenge #2: Become a Part of the Official IMAX Poster!

Ready your flash suits, Launchies! The official Battle School site has updated today with the SECOND Battle Room challenge which will lead us up to the IMAX poster reveal next week!

From the release:

People who visit the International Fleet Battle School site (http://www.if-battleschool.com) can enlist by taking a Strategic Aptitude Test that determines their military strength & knowledge, and therefore, which army within the International Fleet they're assigned to.  Users are provided a personalized ID badge representing their army.

The second battle has begun! Cadets must enter the Battle Room and login to their army to compete. SHARE your Army ID badge on Twitter to help your army reveal the official IMAX poster, and the winning army will have the honor of becoming a part of the poster!

The official IMAX poster will be unveiled on 10/2 on Fandango.com.

Go here now --> http://www.if-battleschool.com

They are calling it a "fan collage" so perhaps the logos or even tiny versions of the Facebook images of the conquering army will be featured on the poster -- it would be a shame for Dragon Army to break their winning streak!

Good luck -- and we can't wait to see the new poster!

Two New Battle School Games -- Win a trip to NASA!

Launchies across the pond, this is for you!

The UK Ender's Game movie site recently launched the "Battle School Command Core," complete with 2 brand new Battle Room games. And these games aren't just for fun -- each week, those at the top of the leader board will be entered into a drawing to win cool prizes or even a trip to Florida to visit NASA!

Week One's prizes are pretty exciting: an iPad Mini for the "Pairs" game and a Kindle Paperwhite for the top scorer in the "Target Shoot."

Compete in all 6 weeks for the chance to win a trip to NASA in Florida! But keep in mind: only those living in the UK and Ireland can be entered into the draw for prizes. Check out the site for more terms and conditions.

Good luck, Launchies!

Contest: Find an "Ender's Game" ICEE!

Hey guys -- since we found out today that the Battle School Blastberry and Orbital Orange ICEEs are available in some locations this week (though most places the first week of October), I thought  it would be fun to run a small contest!

The first two people to email me a picture of themselves with an Ender's Game icee (with the themed cup!) will win one Ender's Game bag from this year's Comic-Con -- plus a static cling and a pin!

Send all submissions to endernews@gmail.com with "ICEE Contest" in the subject line. And please keep in mind: this must be your own photo, not something you found on the internet. Believe me, I am very good with Google and if you cheat, I will find out! Also, I will be posting the photos in the EN gallery so including your face is entirely optional. :)

Good luck, Launchies!

"Ender's Game" ICEEs Coming Soon - Train Like an Astronaut!

Heads up, Launchies! You all might have noticed that the Battle School Training game was sponsored by ICEE, and now we know that Ender's Game has officially partnered with ICEE to bring us movie cups and fun futuristic flavors this fall -- along with a cool "Train Like an Astronaut" sweepstakes!

From the release:

ICEE has assembled a retail and online program with Ender's Game Battle School Blastberry and Orbital Orange ICEE flavors, with a promotion featured on Ender's Game themed ICEE cups and prominent signage in movie theaters, quick service restaurants and convenience stores nationwide.  A sweepstakes overlay gives consumers a chance to win an Astronaut Training Experience supported through retailers and social media.  An exclusive Ender's Game online game continues the fun at www.icee.com.

To enter, simply visit www.icee.com/endersgame and enter the code from your cup for a chance to attend an astronaut training experience at the Kennedy Space Center!

We've asked when the cups will be available but no word yet -- make sure to let us know if you spot one while out and about!

Update: The ICEEs have started hitting retailers as of this week, but will be fully implemented by October 1st!

"Ender's Game" Lasertag Tournament at GamesCon

GamesCon is currently underway in Cologne, Germany and Constantin, the German distributor of the Ender's Game film, has put together an epic promotional lasertag arena and invited all the Con attendees to register teams and take part. It looks absolutely incredible!

Here are some highlights from Day 1 (translation below!):

And, well... the International Fleet personnel are looking little different in Germany than they did at Comic-Con last month:

"Our administration includes 12 selected female commanders of the International Fleet"

Video Translation:

Episode 1: The Preparations

It is now 2013. The threat of a third alien invasion is ever present and still controls life on Earth. On the search for the chosen fighter who has what it takes to save mankind, we've built our boot camp at the world's largest event for interactive gaming and entertainment, the GamesCom! During the next 5 days, around 300,000 of the most skilled warriors of very diverse origin will meet.

Our administration is made up of 12 chosen female commanders of the Interstellar Fleet -- in short, the I.F. We have equipped our bootcamp with a giant laser tag arena. In it we will test the abilities, strategies, and especially the bravery of our fighters.

Since there is a huge crowd, we are offering the opportunity to register online for a Fast-Lane pass. This allows for privileged participation in the Great Game.

Prove your abilities. This is your chance. Form your army and register now at http://www.facebook.com/EndersGameFilm.

The next message from the GamesCom site will be coming tomorrow at noon.

Check out the official German Ender's Game movie page on Facebook for more photos of the event!

5 Brand New "Ender's Game" Character Posters

Yesterday, Movie Newz updated their Ender's Game page with 5 never before seen character posters of Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield), Colonel Graff (Harrison Ford), Petra Arkanian (Hailee Steinfeld), Major Anderson (Viola Davis) and Mazer Rackham (Sir Ben Kinglsey).

Please note: The posters have been removed at the request of Summit Entertainment. We will post the final, official versions as soon as they are released.

I'm really loving the blue and amber tones they are using for a lot of the imagery, though I am wondering why they chose to include the names of the actors instead of the characters.

Edit: We've received confirmation from the studio that these images were drafts and the artwork wasn't meant to be released to the public. Too bad! However, if these are practice runs, we can't wait to see the final project -- Petra looks totally fierce and I would love to have these on my wall!

Summit Reveals Seriously Kickass Comic-Con Plans

This morning, Summit Entertainment pulled back the curtain on their 2013 San Diego Comic-Con plans for Ender's Game and it looks like those attending the convention in a few weeks will be in for a huge treat.

From the release:

Summit Entertainment will showcase the studio's highly anticipated film event ENDER'S GAME at Comic-Con 2013, presenting never-before-seen new footage, appearances by cast members and filmmakers, and several massive, interactive fan events. A full slate of activities related to the film to be unveiled at this year's Comic-Con, including:

Hall H Panel - The studio's panel on Thursday, July 18th will feature ENDER'S GAME filmmakers and cast, including producer Bob Orci, director Gavin Hood, and cast members Harrison Ford, Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld and Abigail Breslin.

Exclusive Fan Experience – Attendees will be able to visit an elaborate, specially constructed ENDER'S GAME exhibit outside of the Hilton Gaslamp, featuring 8 unique rooms representing the most iconic environments of Ender's world, complete with original film props and set pieces used in the movie.  Throughout the experience, attendees will be able to see exclusive film footage on LED screens, interact with new digital content, integrate photos of themselves into the highly anticipated Battle Room, and register to win a home make over.

Convention Floor Booth - Summit Entertainment's booth located within the Grand Hall will highlight ENDER'S GAME footage. Premium promotional items will be distributed to the 120,000 attendees walking the convention floor, and booth visitors will be given the opportunity to win "fast passes" to the ENDER'S Game Exclusive Fan Experience, granting them entry without having to wait in line.

First of all, we are super excited to see big talent names in the panel line-up -- Harrison Ford, especially! And keep in mind: it's very possible there will be other cast members participating in the panel or, at the very least, showing up to enjoy the experience.

But guys, seriously: Summit Entertainment is setting up a massive, multi-room Ender experience off site next month at Comic Con -- areas filled with set pieces, film props, and exclusive movie footage! It sounds like every fan's dream come true and it'll all be taking place next month outside the Hilton Gaslamp in San Diego.

Crystal and I had a little brainstorming session, trying to decide which rooms from Ender's world they could show off. Here are some we thought possible:

- Ender's school on Earth
- army barracks
- Battle School showers
- Eros
- Graff/Anderson's offices
- the Battle Room
- Wiggin house / Ender's bedroom

There are so many opportunities! Can you think of any more?

Visit Comic-Con's website to view a full list of 2013 exhibitors and download a location map. You can also check out our recent most episode of EnderCast (toward the end) where we talk a bit about the Con and swag we want to see the booth hand out this year. Like army badges and a Battle Room beach ball!

Check this out:

We've also compiled this super handy Ender's Game Comic-Con Guide to help us all keep track of what's going on and where this year at the convention. We'll  be sure to keep it updated with guest announcements, appearances, a SDCC twitter feed, and more.

If you plan on attending Comic-Con yourself this year, don't forget to join our event on Facebook and let us know! We'd love to meet up with you.

IF Sentinel Relaunch - 3 New Wicked Cool Propaganda Posters

IF-Sentinel.com, the Ender's Game movie site functioning as a fictional communications hub between the International Fleet and a futuristic Earth, was relaunched today with a new look, additional content, and 3 brand new propaganda posters. Check them out:

Here are some super hi-res versions of the posters for you to download:  Next Generation, Protect Earth, Never Again   - which one is your favorite?

The site also gave us a sneak peak at some more Ender imagery, including our first look of what looks like Bonzo and his boys from Salamander Army waiting for Ender in the infamous "bathroom scene."

The Fleet's mission statement: "United under a single, harmonious government, the International Fleet serves to protect us all from the next global invasion, while striving to maintain order and propel human progress on Earth."

Can't wait to see what pops up in the weeks heading up to Comic-Con and the 128 days we have left until Ender's Game hits theaters!
