"Ender's Game" Cast at Teen Choice Awards 2013

Last night's Teen Choice Awards included some exciting appearances from a couple cast members of Ender's Game!

Starting off, Hailee Steinfeld and Abigail Breslin presented the award for Choice Movie Actor: Drama to Logan Lerman for his role in The Perks of Being a Wallflower. After the event, Abigail tweeted:

So fun presenting at the Teen Choice Awards tonight with my #EndersGame costar and friend @HaileeSteinfeld... #highheelprobz? (@yoabbaabba)

Sounds like there may have been a bit of difficulty with the heels, but they both did an excellent job. Here's a fun picture of them presenting!

Following the awards show, the fun continued for Aramis Knight who attended the Staples For Students Teen Choice Awards after party. He posted the photo below on his Instagram with the caption, "Party time @dylansprayberry."

Only 80 days until Ender’s Game hits U.S. theaters!

News for Asa, Hailee and Abigail

Right after he returned from Comic-Con, Asa Butterfield (Ender) started filming on his new project 'X Plus Y', a British coming of age comedy/drama produced by Origin Pictures. Asa plays the lead character Nathan, a math genius on his "journey to embrace the irrational nature of love."

The film is inspired by the BAFTA nominated BBC documentary 'Beautiful Young Minds', and the studio describes it as an "original and heartwarming film [that] tracks the funny, complex relationship Nathan has with his mentor who ends up learning more from Nathan than he could ever teach him."

A second trailer has been released for Hailee Steinfeld's (Petra) next movie "Romeo & Juliet," the latest adaption of this classic Shakespeare story for the big screen. The film is set to open as a limited U.S. release on September 6, and can be seen in UK cinemas from October 11 on. Both these dates are earlier than Ender's Game's release date, so if you can't wait to see Hailee in a big role, watch this new trailer:



Abigail Breslin (Valentine) signed up for the title role in the zombie drama "Maggie," where she plays opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is also producing. Abigail, who also starred in 2009's comedy 'Zombieland', plays the zombie-virus infected daughter of Schwarzenegger's character in what looks more of an emotional drama than a typical Schwarzenegger action flic:

"Plagued with guilt and indecision, he [Schwarzenegger] decides to forego putting a bullet in her brain even as she slowly deteriorates, choosing instead to spend all the time she has left by her side." (Yahoo Movies)

Summit Reveals Seriously Kickass Comic-Con Plans

This morning, Summit Entertainment pulled back the curtain on their 2013 San Diego Comic-Con plans for Ender's Game and it looks like those attending the convention in a few weeks will be in for a huge treat.

Summit Entertainment will showcase the studio's highly anticipated film event ENDER'S GAME at Comic-Con 2013, presenting never-before-seen new footage, appearances by cast members and filmmakers, and several massive, interactive fan events. A full slate of activities related to the film to be unveiled at this year's Comic-Con, including:

Hall H Panel - The studio's panel on Thursday, July 18th will feature ENDER'S GAME filmmakers and cast, including producer Bob Orci, director Gavin Hood, and cast members Harrison Ford, Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld and Abigail Breslin.

Exclusive Fan Experience – Attendees will be able to visit an elaborate, specially constructed ENDER'S GAME exhibit outside of the Hilton Gaslamp, featuring 8 unique rooms representing the most iconic environments of Ender's world, complete with original film props and set pieces used in the movie.  Throughout the experience, attendees will be able to see exclusive film footage on LED screens, interact with new digital content, integrate photos of themselves into the highly anticipated Battle Room, and register to win a home make over.

Convention Floor Booth - Summit Entertainment's booth located within the Grand Hall will highlight ENDER'S GAME footage. Premium promotional items will be distributed to the 120,000 attendees walking the convention floor, and booth visitors will be given the opportunity to win "fast passes" to the ENDER'S Game Exclusive Fan Experience, granting them entry without having to wait in line.

First of all, we are super excited to see big talent names in the panel line-up -- Harrison Ford, especially! And keep in mind: it's very possible there will be other cast members participating in the panel or, at the very least, showing up to enjoy the experience.

But guys, seriously: Summit Entertainment is setting up a massive, multi-room Ender experience off site next month at Comic Con -- areas filled with set pieces, film props, and exclusive movie footage! It sounds like every fan's dream come true and it'll all be taking place next month outside the Hilton Gaslamp in San Diego.

Crystal and I had a little brainstorming session, trying to decide which rooms from Ender's world they could show off. Here are some we thought possible:

- Ender's school on Earth
- army barracks
- Battle School showers
- Eros
- Graff/Anderson's offices
- the Battle Room
- Wiggin house / Ender's bedroom

There are so many opportunities! Can you think of any more?

Abigail Breslin: The movie "does stay true to the book."

If our set visit preview reports didn't convince you, listen to someone who definitely knows what she's talking about!

Valentine Wiggin actress Abigail Breslin spoke with CNN recently about her role in Ender's Game, assuring fans of the novel that there is no reason to be concerned. "It does stay true to the book, which I'm excited about," she admitted.

Her own character, too, hasn't strayed far from the Valentine we know from the books, according to Breslin: "I love the character in the book as well, so it stays pretty true to the character in the movie." (CNN)

Ender's Game is set to hit theaters November 1, 2013.
